college of nursing in collaboration with Dr.D.Y.Patil Alumni Seva Association
under the guidance of Dr.(Mrs.) Khurshid Jamadar ,Principal, Dr.D.Y. Patil
College of nursing, with the help of Dr.D.Y.Patil Blood Bank organized blood
donation camp, inorder to encourage and motivate people towards blood donation.
The camp was conducted on 5-08-2016 at Dr.D.Y. Patil College of nursing. It was
get started at 9 am and came to an end by 3pm.
Around 50 people
including teaching, non teaching and students showed willingness for blood
donation, among them 25were found to be eligible to donate blood. Eligibility
was determined by weight, haemoglobin and age between 18-65 years.
Refreshments were
arranged for blood donors, and they were awarded with donor card and blood
donation certificate. Dr.D.Y. Patil College of nursing was awarded with a
appreciation certificate by the Medical officer of Dr.D.Y.Patil Blood Bank. Snacks were arranged for the staff of the
blood bank.
Teaching,
non-teaching and students found the blood donation camp as very effective and
participated actively. All the alumni members actively participated.
