Parents Teacher Meeting (GNM)

Parents’ teacher meet was conducted on 09/10/2019 at 10.00 am in the library, Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Nursing. Following teachers interacted with the parents of their respective class.Mrs. Dr.(Mrs)Rupali Salvi Principal. Dr.D.Y.Patil institute of Nursing Mrs.Sadhana Adhyapak Ist year BSc.Class Co-ordinator Ms.Surekha Kasab.IInd year GNM class Co-ordinator.Ms.Jayashree Jaypurkar.IIIrd year GNM class Co-coordinator. The meeting was organized in the Library, Dr. D Y Patil Institute of Nursing. Parents were informed well in advance about the meeting. It was one to one interaction of class coordinators with parents. A total of 57 students’ parents interacted with the faculty. Ist yr RGNM: 23 IInd yr RGNM: 17 IIIrd yr RGNM: 11 The agenda discussed was as follows. 1. Progress of ward –All class coordinators discussed unit tests I result with the parents. The weak areas of the study were informed to parents. Parents were also informed about Diwali vacations, upcoming examinations and assignments to be done by students. They were told about various college activities conducted to date. 2. Rules & regulations–Parents were informed to tell their wards to follow general rules & regulations of the college. They were also told to pay academic fees as early as possible. 3. Absenteeism of students - Class coordinators informed parents about their wards’ attendance. It was emphasized that if their ward’s attendance is not 80%, they will not be allowed to appear for the final examination. Parents appreciated college infrastructure, laboratories, library, and faculty. The meeting was concluded with the refreshment of Tea and Biscuits. The parents were happy about the meeting. FEEDBACK FROM PARENTS Feedback from parents was taken regarding infrastructure, teaching process, clinical facilities provided, library facilities and extracurricular activities. I. In fracture 1.100% of parents said that ventilation in the classroom was adequate. 2.15% of parents felt that the seating arrangement was not adequate for students. 3.100% of parents said that laboratory exposure was adequate for the students before they go to the clinical area. 4.100% of parents said that potable water was available for the students. 5.100% of parents said that washroom facilities were adequate. II. Teaching process 1.100% of parents said that lectures were taken as per time table. parents said that facilities for the use of audiovisual aids are not adequate. parents said that individual attention is not given. 4.10.4% of parents said that disciplinary actions taken are inadequate. 5.100% of parents said that regular guidance and counseling activities are provided for the students by faculty. III. Clinical facilities 1.100% of parents said that the distance between clinical facilities from college should be less. 2.100% of parents said that adequate clinical facilities are provided for the students. 3.100% of parents said that adequate duty hours provided for the students. 4.100% of parents said that adequate clinical supervision is done for the students. 5.100% of parents said that adequate transport facilities are provided. IV. Library facilities 1.100% of parents said that there are adequate books for the students 2.100% of parents said that the numbers of books issued are adequate 3.100% of parents said that library timing is adequate. 4.100% of parents said that there are adequate reference books. 5.15% of parents said that there are are no internet facilities for the students. V. Extracurricular activities 1.100% of parents said that there is scope for personality development 2.100% of parents said that there are adequate cultural activities. 3.100% of parents said that there are adequate sports activities. 4.100% of parents said that there are adequate opportunities for intercollegiate activities. 5.100% of parents said that there is adequate scope for societal benefits. Overall 95.98% of parents said that facilities were adequate and 5.02 % parents said that facilities were inadequate TAKEN REPORT ON PARENTS FEEDBACK. Teaching process 1.15 % of parents felt that seating arrangement was not adequate for students -Principal Madam said very soon the classroom facility will be provided for each class. 2.15 % of parents said that individual attention is not given – Principal Madam emphasized all teaching faculty that individual attention should be given to all students and to maintain mentor register strictly. A.Library facilities 1.15% of parents said that there is no internet facility for the students.- It is decided that the proposal would be put so that the internet facility is available for all students in the library. B.Any other 7.4% of parents were asking the name of hospitals regarding placement for internship batch – Principal Madam said in December placement are going too arranged for 3rd Year.
