Guest Session on ‘How to manage your stress’

Mr. Byoung Gil Parkwas invited to address the students of MBA on 4th September 2019 for a guestsession on "How to manage your stress". He is the director ofInternational Mind Education Institute, Nepal and is a licensed mind educationspecialist for IMEI, South Korea.

The session wasquite interesting as he communicated in Korean and it was translated by theperson who accompanied him. The session was based on stress management, peerpressure, anxiety and how to overcome the hardships. The hard facts of how tostudents are committing suicide due to the stress of academics and love affairswere painfully highlighted.

He said - you don'tneed to avoid the stress, but to overcome it. Don't avoid hardships, collidewith them is the mantra to sail through life’s turbulences.

He explained usingthe example of swimming: how on the same water one can be happy and cheerful,how one person can out of fear drown and how the other enthusiastic human cansurf. It signifies even when water is calm, people can drown. Thus, water is thenot the problem but the mindset plays a huge part in this.

He discussed andemphasized how we all should change for better and come above the surface ofthe water not just in a pool or a sea but in life as well. He imparted theimportance of how good mentors in life take us to places. Mentors should bechosen from a young age and students need to abide by the path shown by them.

The session wasinsightful and extremely helpful for the young generation.
