Poster Presentation on International Midwives Day

To raise public awareness, Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Nursing Celebrated International Midwives Day on 5 May. International Midwives Day is marked annually on 5 May to focus global attention on health and problems related to women’s special focus on ANC and PNC mothers.

The main aim of the day was to promote awareness regarding the health dynamics of ANC and PNC mothers. 100 YEARS OF PROGRESS was the theme of International Midwives Day, 2022.

On this occasion Chief guest was Col. Tripta Suri, also respected Dr. Mrs. Kavita Kelkar and Ms. Surekha Kasab was there to celebrate International Midwives Day.

In Dr. D.Y. Patil hospital. Col. Tripta Suri, Nursing Director, declared the theme of the day. Then students of 3rd year GNM nursing done a poster presentation on the Anatomy of the breast and female reproductive system, breastfeeding technique, safe confinement, labor midwife’s skills, and the role of a midwife.

At the end many questions were asked by the audience and all doubt were cleared by students.

The session was very interesting and informative. The overall program was successful because students recognized their vital role in raising awareness and emphasizing the need of ANC and PNC mothers.

This program attended by 6 teachers,25students,and 50 peoples.
