First Conference on Trends in "Interdisciplinary Research in Health Sciences".

Interdisciplinary Research is the need of the hour. DPU is taking its first step to provide a common platform to unite all the research scholars from different background to share their interdisciplinary work and create motivation to think “Out of the box ”utilizing the modern technology to generate new ideas for research in health, which will ultimately benefit the health of the community at large. 
With this background, Dr. D Y Patil Vidyapeeth organized the First Conference on Trends in Interdisciplinary Research in Health Sciences. Dr. Pradnya Kakodkar, organizing Secretary welcomed all the eminent guests on the dais and the invited delegates.  Honorable Vice-Chancellor Dr. N J Pawar in the presence of Registrar Dr. A N Suryakar inaugurated the conference. The Vice-Chancellor delivered the Welcome address, marked the conference open and felicitated the guest speaker  Ms. Deepa  Adiga, Scientist at Innovation Lab, TCS, Pune.  Ms. Deepa delivered a lecture on Artificial Intelligence and Biomedical Research. The other guest speaker  Dr. Girish Tillu, Assistant Professor at the Interdisciplinary School at SPPU was felicitated by Dr. Ramesh  Bhonde, the organizing Chairman.  Dr. Tillu spoke about Transdisciplinary Research in Health Sciences. Dr. Sarika Chaturvedi gave a brief description of Interdisciplinary Research.104 delegates attended the conference from 8 different constituent colleges under DPU. 28 papers related to the interdisciplinary topics were presented. All the papers presented in the conference will be published as full papers in the DPU conference proceedings. During the valedictory program, Dr. Ramesh Bhonde proposed Vote of Thanks and gave away certificates to the chairpersons, presenters and the participants. All the delegates were benefitted from this scientific deliberation and proposed that such an event should take place on a regular basis.
