Report on National Voters Awareness Contest

On the occasion of 12th National Voters' Day, the Election Commission of India launched a National Voter Awareness contest- 'My Vote is my Future- Power of One Vote' to reiterate the importance of every vote through creative expression. The National Voter Awareness Contest by the Election Commission of India's SVEEP (Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation) program taps into the talent and creativity of people, while also strengthening democracy through their active involvement.

As part of the National Voter Awareness contest, Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Nursing organized various contests under the guidance of Dr. Mrs. Rupali Salvi Principal, Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Nursing, Coordinated by SNA Advisor Mrs. Jasmin Shijo, Class Coordinators of First Year B.Sc. Nursing Dr. Mrs. Shweta Joshi, Mrs. Jayabala Aghamkar, Second Year B.Sc. Nursing Mrs. Martha Raut, Third Year B.Sc. Nursing Dr. Mrs. Nisha Naik and Class Coordinator of Fourth Year B. Sc Nursing Dr. Mrs. Kavita Kelkar.

On 11th March 2022, The Slogan Competition was organized by Second Year B.Sc. Nursing students. Almost 25 slogans were prepared and weaved their words into a catchy slogan on the above theme to inspire others. The second session was initiated by the Third Year B.Sc. Nursing students. The singing competition is organized which is aimed at harnessing the talent and potential of creative minds through the medium of a song. The Quiz competition was conducted for fourth year B.Sc. Nursing Students. It is to engage with inquisitive minds to gauge the awareness level of participants regarding the electoral process in the country.

On 14th March 2022, The Poster competition was conducted for First year B.Sc. Nursing Students. Students were actively participated to create thought-provoking posters for the above-mentioned contest. Total Beneficiaries were 348. The contest aims at celebrating ideas and content curated on the theme of the importance of every single vote in a democracy.
