On Friday by Dr. D. Y. Patil Institude of Optometry & Visual Science

*On this day firstly Student visited YCM Hospital.

* Then 15 students performed a skit on how eye donation is important.

Skit was directed by the third year students-1) Janavi Koshti

2)Gayatri Bhalerao

3)Namrata Ghode

* Skit is performed in three stages as follows:-

1) In 1st stage they showed scene of accident and & then patient asked his wife to fulfill his last wish to donate his eyes to someone who really need a vision to see this beautiful world..!

2) In 2nd stage they showed scene of today's generation misbehavation such as spraying chemical sprays during birthdays or during cake cutting mistakenly goes into the eyes. Means they enlightened precautions to take during this situations.

3) in 3rd stage they showed scene of marriage of girl in which whose father died during accident and he donated eye to the person that person done the ritual ceremony like 'Kanyadan' in her wedding in this way her father saw daughter wedding through his own eyes means with donated Eyes..!

* Then the head of YCM Ophthalmic Department-Dr. Rupali Maheshgauri appreciated the efforts of students and also said that the Skit was very good performed and well co-ordinated.

*After that students of optometry conducted rally in campus of Dr.DY. Patil Medical College and Hospital,Pimpari to increase the Awareness of eye donation.

*Then again participients performed skit outside Hospital area of Dr.D.Y.Patil Hospital to awere people about eye donation..

* Dr Radhika Paranjape appreciated the student performance and said that glad to see the interest of student in extracurricular activities.

* Also there is poster competition on the topic "Eye donation"

Poster competition results has been declared first winning prize for optometry Student name- Neha Singh
