Celebration of Charak Jayanti 2021

On the occasion of Charak Jayanti, a programme was organized at the Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Ayurved and Research Centre, Pimpri-Pune by Sanskrit Samhita Siddhanta Department. The auspicious event was commenced by conducting Dhanwantari and Charaka poojana graced by the presence of Advisor Dr. B. P. Pandey and Principal Dr. Gunavant  Yeola. Dhanwantari Stavana was recited by Dr. Ojada Pol   in her melodious voice and joined by teachers and students.  

The students were also enlightened by beautiful words about Charaka Jayanti and its importance as well as the faith for Acharya Charaka in every Vaidya’s heart by Principal, Dr. Gunavant Yeola, Vice Principal Dr. Prashant Khade, HOD, Samhita Siddhanta Department Dr. Mrudula Joshi, Student council Incharge Dr. Shital Rasane. A heart-to-heart conversation to the students from PG student of Ayurved Samhita Siddhanta department Dr.  Komal Indulkar took place. Total 91 participants were present for this programme. 

The programme was then continued by attending the zoom sessions for the students and faculties organized as international webinar on Charak Jayanti.

Apart from the said function Poster and Paper presentation competitions were conducted in the institute on 12 August 2021; organized by the team Charak Jayanti at the state level. Dr Mrudula Joshi and Dr. Prashant Khade worked as convenor and examiner for the competitions.  Dr. Nilesh Patil and Dr. Saurabh Kadam faculties of the department assisted in smooth conduction of the programme. Altogether 30 posters and 9 Papers were presented during the session.

The students of IV/II, Shivani Ratanghayra, Viraja More, Mayuri Shinde, Aarti Gawade, Sagar Patil and PG students had prepared a beautiful rangoli for the occasion. The programme was anchored by Saloni Gujar. The vote of thanks was given by Viraja More.
