Guest Session on “Building Digital Profile”

A guest session on “Building a Digital Profile” was organized for the MBA and BBA (all semester) students of GBSRC on Saturday, May 15th 2021. The session started with welcome note & introduction given by Ms. Prachi Jain. 161 students were present for the Corporate Guest Session.

The guest speaker was, Ms. Meeta Kanhere. Ms. Kanhere is the co-founder of Meraki Leadership Solutions. An educational background in Psychology and Human Resources expertise in consulting and academic segment to understand the robust role of HR and Capability building.

She started her career by working with consulting companies like Behavioral Science Center Pvt. Ltd, where she got experience in the areas of Assessment and Development, later Inclination towards consulting and academics led her to join premier academic institutions like Symbiosis Institute of Business Management. With years of experience and being co-founder for more than 6 year she expertise in Behavioral Training, Psychometric Assessments, Assessment and Development, Executive Education.

Ms. Kanhere explained the importance of going digital and groomed the students in writing professional emails - the format, attachments, ideal structure of good email, what an email should consist. How to handle if the attachment file is large. Enlighten our knowledge in making digital introductory video and building digital resumes.

The speaker emphasized on the importance of maintaining a professional social profile like frequently sharing content and keep in touch with employers of desired companies. Having an update on the important happenings in one’s dream company is important from the employment perspective. Ms. Kanhere, spoke on the increased back ground check that is being conducted by the HR team of various companies to screen the candidates. Most HR team now check the various social media handles of the prospective candidates. She reiterated that maintaining a balanced profile throughout all media platforms, and being very careful while sharing pictures has become very important.

The session ended with a question-and-answer followed by vote of thanks given by the Mr. Rajat Sakundarwar.
