International Women’s Day is observed on 8th March all over the Globe. The day aimed to help nations worldwide eliminate discrimination against women. It also focused on helping women gain full and equal participation in global development. This year the theme of international Women’s day is”"Choose to change"

On account of women’s day celebration a lecture was organized on Cancer awareness by

Dr. Shubhangi Choudhari Department of College of Dr. D.Y Patil Ayurveda hospital.

This day celebrated in multipurpose hall of Dr. D.Y.Patil College of Nursing by Obstetrics and Gynecological Department in coordinationwithCommunity Department the organizing team for international women’s day celebration Mrs Jithya P.M (, Ms. Gurpreet Bumrah (CI)Mrs.Ashvini Sakharkar (CI), Mrs Jayashree Ohol (CI), Mrs Manisha Dubey (CI), 11 am to

1:30 pm under the guidance of Dr. Mrs Rupali Salvi principal, Dr. D.Y.Patil College Of Nursing & INE.

The host of the program were Mrs. Jithya pm & Mrs.Mnisha Dubey.The programe was started with prayer song by Mrs. Ashwini Sakharkar. All the women’s teaching and non-teaching faculty felicitate with rose flower. The audience were address by Dr. Mrs Rupali Salvi principal, Dr. D.Y.Patil College Of Nursing & INE& brief introduction to women’sday followed by sharing thoughts & experience on account of international women’s day by faculties.

Entertainment & games are organized like short film, blow the balloon thread & needle, songs with words & talent show. All of them enjoyed a lot and gifts were distributed to the winners. Refreshment was given to everyone who attendedthe event. It was concluded with vote of thanks by Mrs Jayashree Ohol. All the female workers were honored by a gift and by these we can see the touch of human concern in the event. As we celebrated this momentous occasion, each of us carried good memories.
