Session: Guidelines For Summer Internship Project

A guidance program on Guidelines For Summer Internship Project Of MBA was organized on April 8, 2019 at the campus.  Dr. Anil Keskar, Advisor, Management Studies, DPU and Dr. Hanraj Thorat, Professor, GBSRC, Pune addressed the MBA students and emphasized on the importance of SIP in their respective career.
Dr. Anil Keskar shared his experience about the attitude of the students in the job. He opined that students should take their summer internship on a serious note and it should be well aligned with their career choice. He encouraged the students to do groundwork before joining any company for SIP. Further, he asked them to project their goals for the coming years to design a better career path. Adding insights about the importance of SIP, he shared a success story about the journey of a person from SIP to a career. He emphasized students to learn and taking regular guidance from industry as well as faculty mentors.
During the second part of Dr. Hansraj Thorat has given detailed guidelines on the summer internship project and threw light on the concept of research and its methods. A comprehensive presentation was shared by Dr. Thorat wherein he gave inputs about the SIP report. He discussed many aspects and process of research. He shared the seven-point formula for a successful SIP in industry. Talking about the phases of doing SIP, he opined that a successful SIP results in real life experience and learnings. Further, he shared a detailed structure along with possible project topics, chapter-wise detail and viva voce of the SIP report. He fortified students to stay in touch with their respective mentors for further guidance. At the end of the session, he addressed the queries raised by students.
  Dr. Chetan Choudhary, Dy Director, GBSRC also joined the session and advised students to do a project in a choice of their respective careers. He stated that SIP is a way ahead to get exposure in the industry and it helps students in getting placed in their dream industry and company, by adding practical knowledge and skill.
