Journal Club activity was organized by Department of Kayachikitsa and Research Committee on 30thJan 2021 from 2.30 pm to 4.00 pm at Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Ayurved and Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune. Topic of Journal Club activity was Post Covid 19 symptoms and complications.

This activity was suggested by Dr. Hrishikesh Rangnekar (Research Expert) and selection of topic was done by Dr. G.H. Yeola. The activity was conducted in the presence of Principal and HOD Prof. Dr.G.H. Yeola, External members of Research Committee Dr. Hrishikesh Rangnekar, Dr. Sachin Sarapotdar, Research & Scientific Committee Incharge Dr.Shital Rasne and teaching faculties.

We had selected 12 articles from esteemed journals e.g. Scopus, PubMed etc.

These articles were presented by PG Scholars of Kayachikitsa Department in the PPT format.

Each article was discussed in detail after presentation.

Suggestions given by experts were

  • Every presentation should have maximum 10 slides
  • One must include name of Journal, impact factor etc.
  • One must read article in detail along with related articles and write in brief.
  • It must be followed by positive points included in the article, lacunae and further scope.
  • It must have a take home message.

Total 22 Teaching faculties and 25 PG Scholars benefited by this activity. 6 articles were presented. Almost all Post Covid 19 complications were covered - Long term respiratory complications, Extra pulmonary Complications, Cardiovascular complications, Neurological complications, Psychological Complications, Post Covid fatigue etc.

Prof. Dr.G.H. Yeola addressed to PG scholars. Dr. Hrishikesh Rangnekar congratulated PG scholars and organizing team. Introduction and welcome was done by Dr. Arati S. Patil and vote of Thanks was given by Dr. Manisha Thakare.

This activity was organized to bring the light on research paper writing. Activity ended on positive a note.
