Introduction:  Martyrs' Day is an annual day observed by nations to salute the martyrdom of soldiers who lost their lives defending the sovereignty of the nation. The day marks the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. On this day in 1948, Gandhi was assassinated by Nathuram Godse in the compound of Birla House after one of his routine multi-faith prayer meetings.

  Martyrs' Day is observed by NSS Unit of Dr.D.Y.Patil College of Nursing on 30 /1/2021 at 2pm to3 pm under the guidance of Dr.Mrs.Rupali Salvi, Principal Dr.D.Y.Patil College and Dr. Mrs.Kavita Kelkar NSS Unit coordinator. This week was observed through online mode by ZOOM App Platform.

Ms.Pranali NSS Volunteer headed the program by welcoming principal madam, teaching faculty and all NSS Volunteer. The PowerPoint presentation on significance of Martyrs' Day was done by Ms.Sonali Deshmukh and Gitty Varghese .They discussed about history, significance of observing this day.Dr.Mrs.Kavita Kelkar NSS Unit Coordinator spoke about life journey and principles of Mahatma Gandhi.

Mr. Veer has given vote of thanks. Total 30 NSS Volunteers were presented for this session.
