Introduction: It was a decision of Government of India taken in 1984 to celebrate the birthday of great Swami Vivekananda, i.e. 12 January, as National Youth Day every year. The Government of India quoted that ' the philosophy of Swamiji and the ideals for which he lived and worked could be a great source of inspiration for the Indian Youth Day.

The National Youth week was observed by NSS Unit of Dr.D.Y.Patil College of Nursing on 12 /1  2021 to 19/1/2020 at 2.30 pm to3 pm under the guidance of Dr.Mrs.Rupali Salvi, Principal Dr.D.Y.Patil College of Nursing  and Dr. Mrs.Kavita Kelkar NSS Unit coordinator. This week was observed through online mode by ZOOM App Platform.

Day 1 (12/1/2021) Session on National Youth Day

Ms. Kavita Mukhyia NSS Students Coordinator headed the program by welcoming Principal Madam, NSS Coordinator and NSS Volunteers of Dr.D.Y.Patil College of Nursing. Kavita Mukhyia had taken a session on Importance of National Youth Day. She spoke about history and significance and purpose of observing this day. Principal Mam has motivated NSS Volunteer by discussing life journey of honorable Swami Vivekananda.

Day 2 (16/1/2021) Seminar on Life journey of Swami Vivekananda

Mr.Anuj NSS Students Coordinator headed the program by welcoming Principal Madam, NSS Coordinator and NSS Volunteers of Dr.D.Y.Patil College of Nursing.Mr.Anuj discussed the life journey of Swami Vivekananda such as early life, education, philosophy of life and contribution to society.

Day 3 (19/1/2021) Lecture on Youth and Digital India

Ms.Gitty Varghese NSS Volunteer headed the program by welcoming Principal Madam, NSS Coordinator and NSS Volunteers of Dr.D.Y.Patil College of Nursing.Ms.Rosline and Ms.Sonali presented PowerPoint presentation on discussed Youth and Digital India. They discussed about role of youth, nine pillars, and contribution of Social media in digital India.Dr.Mrs.Kavita Kelkar gave a speech significance of digital India.

Votes of thanks given by Ms.Gitty Verghese.Toal 45 NSS Volunteer were participated in this event. This event was very informative and educative for the NSS Volunteer.
