PULSE POLIO PROGRAMME

Sunday, March 10, 2019 - Friday, March 15, 2019 |Y.C.M .HOSIPTAL, PUNE |Health Camp/ Medical Camp/ Diagnostic Camp


Dr.D.Y Patil College of  Nursing organized pulse polio and IPPI from 10th March to 15th March 2019 with the collaboration of Y.C.M Hospital in National Pulse Polio Programm. All the activities were carried out under the guidance of Mrs. Rupali Salvi Principal of Dr. D.Y Patil College of Nursing and Mrs.Kavita Kelkar, Associate Professor Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Nursing

  Students of Second year BSc.Nsg (94) were posted for pulse polio programme and IPPI under Y.C.M hospital along with 5 teachers namely Mrs. Nidhi Rajput, Ms. Apeksha Changle, Ms. Rupali Satpute, Ms. Yogini Sethi, and Ms. Nilima Mali.

The areas covered were Nashik Phata, Sant Tukaram Nagar, Dighi, Ajmera, Kharalwadi, Pimple Gurav, Bhosari.

During Pulse Polio Programme & IPPI students have given 5,330 Polio Doses & 14,159 Houses were visited during IPPI. Due to the Pulse Polio Programme, students were able to participate in the National Health Programme. The programme went on smoothly

Reasons given by families for not coming for IPPI on 10th March 2019 were:-

1.        Guests at the house.

2.        The baby was sick.

3.        Unaware of the pulse polio camp.

4.        Religious programme and function at home.

5.        Out of station.
