Webinar on “COVID 19 - An Integrated Approach” was organized on 12th May 2020 from 2 pm to 5.30 pm. This Event was Organized by “Department of Shalakyatantra” of Dr. D. Y. Patil  College of Ayurved & Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune.

            Theme of the webinar was to provide advance knowledge of Pathophysiology, assessment and management of the COVID 19 from eminent personalities from faculties. Total 150 participants attended the webinar on  Zoom app; and above 3000 views were on facebook live for this webinar.  On 12th May at 2.00 pm, Dr. Shubhangi Kale, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Shalakyatantra welcomed the trustee of DPU Hon. Dr. Mrs. Smita Jadhav. Dr. Smita Jadhav madam officially inaugurated webinar and  congratulated the Department of Shalakyatantra for organizing webinar and gave  best wishes. This was followed by encouraging words of Dr. Gunvant Yeola  (Principal of Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Ayurved & Research Centre Pimpri, Pune). After this webinar started with first speaker Dr. Pallavi Jagtap, Associate Professor of Dept of Shalakyatantra on “Introduction to COVID 19”.  Next lecture was delivered by Dr. Sangeeta Salvi, HOD and Professor of Shalakyatantra dept of TAMV Pune. She talked about pathophysiology and current statistical analysis of COVID 19. Dr. Mayur Shiralkar, HOD and Professor of Shalakyatantra department of Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Ayurved & Research Centre Pimpri, Pune., mentioned Signs and symptoms and current treatment plan of COVID 19. Then Renowned ophthalmic surgeon Dr. Rajesh Pawar  who is Founder of Vishwatej Eye foundation and Netraseva, Pratishthan  Pune, talked over mode of transmission of COVID 19 through Conjunctiva & Medicolegal aspect of COVID 19. Dr. Sundeep Salvi  , Director of Pulmocare Research and Education Center, Pune, talked about Precautionary measures to be taken in  day to day practice in COVID pandemic.  The final   session was conducted by Dr. Pranav Bhagwat, HOD and Professor of Shalakyatantra  Department of Gomanatak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya Goa. He explained  Ayurvedic perspective of COVID 19. All the sessions were very informative and beneficial for the Faculties, Practioners and students.  Lastly questions and answers session had a huge response by all the participants. This session was very interactive and all doubts of delegates were answered by panelists .  Anchoring  for all the sessions was done by Dr. Anand Kale, Assistant Professor  and Dr. Santosh Rahinj, Assistant Professor of Dept. of Shalakyatantra of Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Ayurved 7 Research Centre,Pimpri Pune  gave vote of thanks and the webinar was concluded.
