Women’s Rally on International Women’s Day

On the Occasion of International Women’s Day from 5th March to 8th March 2020 GBSRC celebrate International Women’s Day by collaboration with WAKAD Police Station on 7th March 2020. As a part of this Rally was organized with among 300 girls and women of different colleges & public schools from Wakad Police Station to Yashada Garden, Pimple Saudagar. Worldwide, women continue to contribute to social, economic, cultural and political achievements. Same time the progress towards the gender parity has slowed down in many places. As per the World Economic Forum prediction in the year 2018, was that it would take 2095 to achieve global gender parity, however, one year later in 2019, they estimated a slowed down progress in the already glacial pace of progress. This meant that gender parity wouldn’t be achieved until 2133. Everyone - men and women - can pledge to take a concrete step to help achieve gender parity more quickly - whether to help women and girls achieve their ambitions, call for gender-balanced leadership, respect and value difference, develop more inclusive and flexible cultures or root out workplace bias. Each of us can be a leader within our own spheres of influence and commit to taking pragmatic actions to accelerate gender parity The Girl Students from MBA & BBA department came up with Good Slogans and they were creating awareness in society by showing and announcing slogan in society throughout the rally. The rally was inaugurated by Sonali Kulkarni (Marathi Film Actress). The event was carried out in Yashada Garden Pimple Sudagar . Prajakta Gaikwad (Marathi Actress) was the guest, She Spoke about Empowerment of the women’s. Total 37 Girls participated from Dr. D.Y.Patil Vidyapeeth’s Pune in Rally out of that 17 Girls student are From Dr. D.Y. Patil Global Business School & Research Center, 14 Girls student are from Dr. D.Y. Patil Hotel Management Institute & 6 Girls student are from Dr. D.Y. Patil Biotechnology. It was good to see the courage and support of our police officers and men’s to make well protective and take care of women and girl feminine.
