Dr. D. Y. Patil Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Institute organized Teachers’ Day Celebrations on 5th September 2023 to gratitude all beloved teachers of DYPBBI.
The event commenced with grand welcome of all teaching and non-teaching staff by the members of students council of DYPBBI and welcome address by Director Dr. Neelu Nawani.
The event was hosted by the Student Council member Ms. Jeevitha Reddy and Ms. Shiny Raj. The main objective behind the program is to celebrate the role played by teachers in student’s life. Ms. Priyanka Sonar from MBT Second year recited the poem dedicating the teacher’s importance in shaping students growth.
A special introduction and release of Mentor-mentee handbook was done on this auspicious day. Dr. Sailaja Allika Asst Professor gave brief introduction about Mentor Menttee program and functioning of Mentor and Menttee in DYPBBI. The Menot Menttee book was released by the hands of Dr. Neelu Nawani, Prof. J K. Pal and all senior staff.
To make this day auspicious, all teaching and non-teaching staffs were felicitated with succulent plants along with flower as a token of love and respect. Further on house-keeping staff members were also felicitated. A group photo was captured of all the teachers.
The program was further followed by the Student Induction Program (SIP-2023) certificate distribution by the hands of Director and SIP event coordinators.
On this remarkable day the college yearly Magazine “ENIGMA 6.0” was also released by the magazine Secretaries of the college Ms. Huma Zainab and Ms. Ishika Balaji Iyer.
The event concluded with few words of appreciation for students by the director, Dr. Neelu Nawani and ended with a Vote of Thanks by the council members. A group photograph of all the teachers and council members was taken.
The entire program was well organized by the student coordinator and the Student Council of DYPBBI under the able guidance of faculty members of Extracurricular, Sports and Extension committee. All students, teaching and non-teaching staff of DYPBBI actively participated in the program and especially all teachers were immensely pleased by students activities.
