Farewell 2022

Dr D.Y. Patil Biotechnology & Bioinformatics Institute, Tathwade, Pune held a Farewell program on the 5th of December, 2022 to bid adieu to the outgoing batches of 2022-2023. As the horizon leans forward offering them space to place new steps of change, the farewell is an occasion that aims to celebrate their seniors and cherish their memories with them.


The event commenced on a auspicious note of lamp lighting for which the dignitaries, Director, Prof. J. K. Pal, Dr Nilesh Kumar Sharma and Dr Meenal Wani were called upon the stage.  After this the Saraswati Vandana was chanted by Ms. Mayuri Rai, BBT 3rd Year student. Prof. J. K. Pal adorned the ceremony with his words of wisdom after which the performances began.


Performances of all sorts were aligned to entertain the seniors, from various dance styles, short films, skits, poetry recitations, games, and even singing. The event's theme was Western Formal, which allowed everyone ample opportunity to get dolled up and attend their farewell with style. Informal awards were being handed out along with a token by the anchors as a form of appreciation towards their seniors.  The juniors collectively decided to mimic the role of paparazzi and turn on their flashlights when their seniors entered, With dramatic music playing in the background the students ensured that there was a grand entry.


To mark the beginning of the new student council 2022-2023, Prof J.K. Pal and Dr. Jyoti Deshpande along with the former council came on stage to commence the felicitation. Once the badges were handed over, former General Secretary, Mr. Keshav Mittal gave an enlightening speech to everyone about his life in DYPBBI. After Keshav, Mr. Haet Kothari and Ms. Ishita Balaji went on to give their speech on how they would maintain the legacy of the student council with the utmost integrity. At the end the vote of thanks was given by Dr. Jyoti Deshpnade.
