The Medical Education Technology Cell of College organized an MCI recognized revised basic course workshop in Medical Educational Technologies from 3rd to 5th January 2017 at College.
The topics covered included basic concepts about Competency-Based Medical Education. The participants had hands-on sessions regarding formulating objectives, choosing teaching-learning methods, assessment and making a lesson plan. They also deliberated upon group dynamics, adult learning principles, systems approach to medical education, how to give feedback and improving interactive learning. They were sensitized to promoting self-directed learning and educational networking. At the end, they reflected on the experiences during the workshop and how they would use it to improve the teaching-learning experience in their respective fields. 30 participants of varying experience attended the workshop.
The participants were very appreciative about the inputs they received during the workshop. The MCI observer, in her report, remarked that ‘Overall it was an extremely well organized and enjoyable workshop’.
