World Innovation Day Debate Competition

On the occasion of World Innovation Day, 15th October 2019, the Start-up & Innovation cell of Dr. D.Y. Patil Homoeopathic Medical College & Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune had organized a debate competition on the topic “Is it a benefit or downfall to insert technology in Education” for U.G as well as P.G. students. There was a total of 7 entries for the notion from students of I & II BHMS as well as students of M.D. (Homoeopathy) and 1 student against the notion. Dr. Parth Aphale, Associate Professor & H.O.D, Department of Homoeopathic Pharmacy introduced the topic and rules to the students and judges. Every student was given 3minutes wherein he/she defended her notion in front of the judges. Judging was done based on presentation skills, communication skills as well as a defense by the student The competition was well appreciated by the judges as it gave a golden opportunity to the students to think out of the box and present their ideas regarding the utility of technology in education to the students & judges. It was followed by the prize distribution wherein Dr. Shafali, M.D.(Hom.) Pat-II student bagged the 1st prize & Ms. Tanisha Arora, II-BHMS bagged the 2nd prize for debate.
