The Diwali Celebration of Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Nursing was conducted on 08 November 2023 to 09 November 2023 at multipurpose-Hall 1 , under the guidance of Principal Dr. Dr Mrs .Khurshid Jamadar , Coordinated and supported by SNA Advisor Mrs. Nisha Naik and all SNA teacher executives of College of Nursing.

On 08th of November we started Diwali celebration with Diya Decoration, Lantern Making, Photography and Rangoli Competition at MPH hall no 1. This event aimed to celebrate the spirit of creativity and tradition by inviting participants to showcase their artistic skills in crafting beautiful Diyas, lantern, photos and rangoli which are an essential part of various cultural and religious celebrations.

The judges for Rangoli competition was Mrs.Sara Naik and Mr.Swapnil Bisure.

The winners of the Diya Decoration Competition were as follows:

1.First Place : Ms. Rupali Nayak , IInd Year Bsc Nursing .

2.Second Place : Ms. Ashwini Udaykumar, IVth Year Bsc Nursing .

The winners of the Lantern Making Competition were as follows:

1.First Place: Ms. Gauri Kable , IInd Year PBBsc Nursing .

2.Second Place: Ms. Priyanshi Rai , Ist Year Bsc Nursing .

The winners of the Rangoli Making Competition were as follows:

1.First Place : Ms. Rajnandini Dhalvi, IInd Year Bsc Nursing .

2.Second Place : Ms. Yashsvi Bhagwat , Ist Year Bsc Nursing.

• The winners of the Photography Competition were as follows:

1. First Place : Ms. Sanika Bendkhale, IIIrd Year Bsc Nursing .
2. Second Place: Mr. Somnath Shinde, IVth Year Bsc Nursing.

Diwali cultural programme was organized on 09^th November 2023. The host for the Day was Ms.Valleri Xavier (IInd Year Bsc ) and Ms. Payal Sant (3 ^rd Year B.Sc.). The program begins with invoking blessings of almighty by Pooja and prayer song by students.

The Cultural events were group dance Solo dance, Group singing and Solo singing. The Theme given for the events was “ When darkness comes, let us condemn the dark, but light a lamp to illuminate.”The judges for dance and singing competition were Dr. Mrs. Khurshid Jamadar ( Principal) and Mrs. D Priya faculty of Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Nursing. Followed by the prize distribution of Diwali events done.

• The winners of the Dance Competition were as follows:

1. First Place : Mr. Rishikesh Jadhav , IInd Year Bsc Nursing .(Solo)
2. Second Place : Ms. Janvi and Gaytri , IInd Year Bsc Nursing .(Duet)
3. Third Place : Ms. Shivani and Group , Ist Year Bsc .(Group)

• The winners of the Talent Round were as follows:

1. First Place: Mr. Rohan Bedke, Ist Year Bsc Nursing .
2. Second Place: Mr. Somnath Shinde, IVth Year Bsc Nursing.
3. Third Place : Dhananjay Walunj, IInd Year PBBsc .

• The winners of the Singing Competition were as follows:

1. First Place : Ms. Mabel, IVnd Year Bsc Nursing . (solo)
2. Second Place : Mr. Ajay Lipne , IIIrd Year Bsc Nursing.(Solo)
3. Third Place : Ms. Meghan Dikson, Ist Year Bsc (Solo)

The programme adjoined with vote of thanks delivered by Ms.Rupali Chaudhari IInd Year Bsc Nursing. Celebration came to end by 12:30 pm followed by refreshment.
