Event: GBSRC IQAC celebrated “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” by conducting a Speech Competition on the topic “Vocal for Local” for BBA Students 2021

GBSRC IQAC celebrated “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” by conducting a Speech Competition on the topic “Vocal for Local” for BBA Students studying in BBA first year, BBA second Year, and BBA third year dated on 23rd November 2021, Tuesday.

The topic for the speech competition was “Vocal for Local” as it become the voice of new India now. Our honorable Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi has mentioned and emphasized the uses of the local products during his address to the nation from Red Fort on the occasion of 75th Independence day.

Such type of competition provides a stage for the students to showcase their extracurricular knowledge and leadership qualities. These competitions help students to develop their presentations skills and overcome the stage fear along with a lot of peer learning.

The event coordinator Prof. Sonali Meshram and Professor Akanksha Mehta has started the event by welcoming all the present students and faculties of GBSRC and the participant of the event. The anchor for the event was Ms. Asmita Nitin Turskar. She started the event with the introduction of the guest and judges for the competition Dr. Shailendrakumar Kale, Dr. Jayashree Patole, and Prof. Vatsala Manjunath. A total of 16 students have participated in the event from all three divisions of the BBA. The event was organized at GBSRC smart classroom on the third floor. Students have great participation and showcase their views on vocal for local with very good examples and explanations. Each student was allocated 5 minutes of the time for speech and conclusion. Students were instructed to strictly stick to the topic

The judges have evaluated the students on several parameters like relevance to the topic, content, confidence in presentation skills, and audience engagement.

With rigorous evaluation from the judges, the average score is considered for the winners.

The event was concluded with a formal vote of thanks and the announcement of the winners.

1. Winner: Jigisha Sanjay Salunke

2. First Runner up: Hrutuja Janawale

3. Second runner up: Mitali Kumari and Jansi Singh
