A REPORT ON

E-WORKSHOP ON “ECLETIC APPROACHES IN TEACHING LEARNING”

DATE: 27TH AUGUST 2021

TIME: 09.00 AM- 4.00 PM

E-Workshop on “Eclectic Approaches in Teaching Learning” was organized by Professional Education and Faculty Development Unit of Dr. D.Y Patil College of Nursing on 27th August 2021 through zoom platform from 9am- 4pm.The workshop was well attended by eminent guest, faculty members, staffs and students .The total delegates registered for this conference were 199 out of which 30 were Faculties and 169 were students of 2nd Year PBBSc Nursing, 4th Year BSc Nursing, MSc Nursing & 3rd Year G.N.M students of Dr. D Y Patil College Of Nursing.

The workshop was inaugurated with lamp lighting by Dr. Mrs. Rupali Salvi Principal, Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Nursing and chairperson for the workshop followed by releasing of the theme. Felicitation of Dr. Mrs. Rupali Salvi, Principal Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Nursing was done by Dr.Ms. Sucheta Yangad coordinator of Professional education and Faculty Development unit and Dr. Mrs. Nisha Naik, Associate Professor and organizing secretary of this E-Workshop was felicitated by Mrs. Jasmin Shijo, Assistant professor.

The welcome address was given by Dr (Mrs.). Nisha Naik, Associate Professor, Dr. D Y Patil college Of Nursing Pimpri, Pune. The Keynote address delivered by the Organizing Chairperson, Dr. (Mrs.) Rupali Salvi, Principal of Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Nursing and declared the E- Workshop open.

In the morning the first session started with Panel discussion on advance methods of teaching. Dr.Ms. Sucheta Yangad Associate Professor was the Chairperson and Mrs. Martha Raut, Associate Professor, Ms. Vaishali Jagtap, Assistance Professor and Mrs. Jasmin Shijo, Assistant Professor were the panelist for the discussion. After completion of sessions question answer discussed by experts, Delegates asked questions and answers given by speakers.

After the lunch we started with second session with Panel discussion on “Changing Trends in Assessment and Evaluation.” Mrs.Jitya PM, Assistant Professor and chairperson, Mrs. Avnee Naik, Assistant Professor and Mr. Jayshree Jaypurkar, Clinical Instructor were the panelist.

After completion of sessions question answer discussed by experts, Delegates asked questions and answers given by speakers.

After review of panel discussion proceeded with the valedictory function of the E-Workshop. At 3.30pm the valedictory function started Dr. Mrs. Rupali Salvi, Principal Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Nursing and Dr. Mrs. Nisha Naik Associate Professor enriched us with their valuable words and Mrs. Jasmin Shijo, Assistant Professor presented the report. An Online self-evaluation tool was administered to conduct the Pre-Test & Post- Test knowledge on the objectives of E- Workshop. E- certificate provided to the delegates after the post-Test.

After the valedictory program, the conference came to an end, with vote of thanks given by Ms. Pooja Saha 2nd MSc Nursing student.

leaving fond memories in the minds of the guests and delegates and a great sense of satisfaction and accomplishment in all members of the faculty staff and students.

OUTCOME OF E-WORKSHOP “ECLETIC APPROACHES IN TEACHING LEARNING”

The feedback from the delegates indicates that the workshop was successful. To a large extend the objectives of the workshop and the expectations of the participants were met. The experience, knowledge and the interactive mode of presentation made the function friendly and lovely.
