International Day of Yoga 2020

International Day of Yoga (IDY) was celebrated by using online platform on 21st June 2020 by Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Ayurved and Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune under the banner of Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune (Deemed to be University) from 7 am. To 8 am. through campus.dpuerp.in login as per the instruction of Department of AYUSH, Govt. of India. The Programme started at 7 am and continued till 9.00 am. This year due to Covid-19, the Theme was “Yoga@home, Yoga with Family”. Faculty members and students participated in large numbers to mark this day. The session started with Yoga Message by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modiji and then Started with warm-up exercises and participants performed sitting and standing asanas. The Demonstrator/instructor simultaneously explained the importance of those asanas.. This morning Common yoga protocol (CYP) session included Asanas, Pranayam, and Meditation for better health and all the participants performed accordingly.

 

 E- Certificate is also provided to all participants.

  • Yoga @home, Yoga with Family: Faculty members and students are participated online through campus.dpuerp.in login in celebration of IDY-2020.
  • IDY-2020 Propagation Video: Video was prepared of various previous yoga activities of Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Ayurved and Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune and at the end, Message was given about the theme of this year IDY-2020, along with how to login for CYP. Total 2.27 minutes video uploaded on DPU website and You Tube link created   and circulated among the Staffs and students for wide publicity.
  • Yoga Pose Competition: Yoga pose competition is organized for students by Dept. of Swasthavritta. Students were instructed to click their photo while performing asana and send it to Swasthavritta department e-mail ID .Total 102 students participated in this Yoga pose competition. Best 3 participants awarded the Prize.

IInd  Winner- Miss.Samiksha Nimse ( IIIrd BAMS)

IIIrd Winner- Miss Shubhangi Jadhav ( IIIrd BAMS)

The total online registered participants were 600.
