Martyr’s day (Shaheed Diwas) is celebrated in India on 30th January, which is observed to pay homage to the freedom fighters who have sacrificed their lives for their Motherland. On 30th January 1948 Mahatma Gandhi, the father of nation was assassinated at Gandhi Smriti in the Birla House. At Global Business School and Research Centre (GBSRC) the event was carried out to pay tribute to the Revolutionaries and Soldiers who had lost their lives in fighting for nation. More than 160 students and faculties participated for this event. The event was organized and managed by students wherein they gave speeches on the topics Marty’s of the nation. The students sang various National Songs together very enthusiastically. After all the efforts made by the college the student were fully aware of the reason for which this day is celebrated. The college also screened the Movie - URI the Surgical Strike for the students in the seminar hall. Students were very excited for the movie. This movie showcases how soldiers give up their today for the better tomorrow for the citizens of the nation. No words can signify or repay the sacrifices they make for their country. URI spotlights on the thankless job they do with passion and fire in their hearts. After the movie the entire hall was filled with patriotic vibes. The students left the room with proud and pure heart of the citizens of the country. The film is a fitting tribute to the Indian Army. The students are the future of the nation it is important to encourage them to have patriotism for their nation. Apart from the fact that this movie makes everyone proud of Indian Army who took bold decisions and executed them so tactfully to ensure national security, the management student also learnt about Team Spirit, Project Management and many more managerial lessons by looking at soldiers’ camaraderie and passion. it was an appreciable event. It’s a great initiative which was successfully coordinated by Dr. Aparajita P. Singh and NSS Team for the students of GBSRC.
