Anti-Ragging Committee Meeting

The anti ragging committee meeting was held on 22/08/2016 at 11.15AM in the Conference room. The following members were present

Dr. Mrs. Sadhana Adhyapak Committee in charge College of Nursing read last meeting minutes & it was passed by all the members. On behalf of Mr. Bhivandik, Mr. Ratnaparakhi & Mr. Aher MIDC Bhosari Police Station attended the meeting. Dr. Mrs. Sadhana Adhyapak briefed all the members of the college level anti-ragging committee. Agenda discussed was as follows.


Online affidavit by students – Dr (Mrs.) Khurshid Jamadar, Principal told all the members that as per UGC regulations all first-year students affidavit online stating that they will not participate in any ragging events. She also told that other batches students also do the same thing. Dr (Mrs.) Sadhana Adhyapak told that the process is already started & will get over by 27/08/2017.


Affidavit by parents – Principal Madam told the members that hard copy of the antiragging affidavit is taken from parents every year & file is maintained regarding the same. The format of affidavit copy was shown to members & it was told that format given by University Grant Commission is used for the same.


UGC regulations - Dr. Khurshid Jamadar madam showed one copy of UGC regulations to all members. She told that as per UGC criteria college level anti-ragging committee is formed and all faculties are members of the committee. She also informed that committee members list along with their contact details, national anti ragging helpline number, anti ragging e-mail is placed on college notice board.

Madam also told that information regarding this meeting is sent to zonal officer ‘C’ division Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation.


Any events of ragging – External members asked if there are any events of ragging happening in the college. It was told to them that no such events have occurred till date. There are minor issues among students which are solved by faculty members.


Suggestions & others – Mr. Aher, Senior Police Inspector suggested that students also should be encouraged to discuss other problems.Mrs. Martha Raut one of the members told that faculty members are mentors for the students. Each faculty member has 10-12 students to guide. Students do discuss their problems with respective mentors & mentor register is maintained regarding the same.

At the end, all external committee members interacted with college students. Mr. Bhivandik asked first-year students if there are any ragging events. He also told them that they can contact him anytime if they face any such situations. Mr. Marwadi, newspaper reporter & Mrs. J. D. Ingole also had interaction with students.The meeting was adjourned at 12.30PM.
