World AIDS day is being observed on the 1st December all over the Globe. The purpose of observing this day was to create awareness about AIDS among the people on 1ST day.  This year the theme of World AIDS Day celebration was “Leadership, Commitment, and Impact”.

World AIDS Day was observed on the 1st Dec 2016 at National AIDS Research Institution by the second year GNM, third year B.Sc Nursing and final year M.Sc. (Community health nursing) students, from 9:30 am to 4 pm under the guidance of Dr. (Mrs) Khurshid Jamadar, Principal, Dr.D.Y.Patil College of Nursing.Mrs. Rupali Salvi (Asso. Professor), Mrs. Surekha Patil (class co-ordinator & Mrs. Mary Ajith and Mrs. Anu Gibi.

NARI had organized “Open House Program” for observing World AIDS Day. The Open House program comprised of visits to NARI museum, AIDS awareness videos, question answer session where the experts from NARI were available for resolve the queries of the students regarding HIV and AIDS and a fruitful role play on the transmission of AIDS.

Total 60 nursing students attended the program and they asked various doubts related to AIDS. Overall the Programme was very educative and informative for the students

NARI has organized elocution competition on 29th Nov and 30th Nov 2016.  Students participated III years B.Sc Nursing and II year B.Sc Nursing. The topic for competition was “Promoting HIV Testing among Youth: Challenges and Approaches Total 3 students participated in elocution competition From III year B.Sc Nursing Ms. Pooja Giri and II year B.Sc Nursing Mr. Parag  Gaikwad, Ms. Nadaf Shamshad under guidance of  Dr. (Mrs) Khurshid Jamadar, Principal Dr.D.Y.Patil College of Nursing, and Mrs. Rupali Salvi madam along with faculty Ms. Surekha Suryavanshi clinical Instructor . 


WORLD AIDS DAY OBSERVED ON   1ST DECEMBER 2016 AT DEVACHI ALANDI.

World AIDS Day was observed on the1st Dec 2016 by performed  National AIDS awareness rally with the Third year RGNM, First year GNM Nursing and Medical students & staff of R.H.T.C. Alandi at Rural community areas, from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm under the guidance of Dr. (Mrs) Khurshid Jamadar, Principal, Dr.D.Y.Patil College of Nursing, Mrs. Shahin Shikalgar  (class coordinator), Ms. Surekha Kasab (class coordinator), WagholeDr. Mrs Waghole(class co-coordinator)   and Mrs. Vaishali Malpatak(class co-coordinator)  

Dr.D.Y.Patil Institute of Nursing Education, Pimpri had organized “Awareness Rally Program ” for observing World AIDS Day. The Rally was started from Rural Health Training Center, Alandi to Alandi Bus Depoe to actively distributing information handouts & booklets with the slogan. Role play performed by internship medical students, Multipurpose Health Worker & Nursing students 

Total 55 nursing & medical students, Nursing teachers & R.H.T.C. staff attended the program. Overall the Programme was very educative and informative for the rural community
