The assessment program was held on December 2nd, 2016 , at the D.Y. Patil Institute Of Optometry and Visual Science. The programme commenced at the arrival of the Vice Chancellor, Dr. P.N. Razdanand a welcoming speech on his part. The esteemed speakers present at the program were ; Mr. Ajay Kashikar: Founder at American Vision Pvt Ltd , Founder and Managing Director at Synergy IFS Pte Ltd , Country Manager, and Director at Melstar Singapore Pte Ltd , Problem management and Application support at Standard Chartered Bank, Sr IT Manager and IT Head at Blue Star Ltd.

Mr. Vijay Sonawane: Works at The Great Family Initiatives, Former Regional Director at Principal Retirement Advisors Pvt Ltd, Former ASSO. Vice President at Aviva Life Insurance. Pradnya Kulkarni-Gogate: Consultant at American Vision India.
The first part of the session was conducted by Mr. Ajay Kashikar. He gave us valuable insights about American Vision and its accomplishments. He also spoke about job opportunities at American Vision. The next speaker was Mr. Nilesh Thite. He spoke about the career options available in the field of optometry and how to go about deciding which career option is best suited for a graduate student. Mr. Vijay Sonawane was the next speaker to address the students. He introduced us to the concept of Multiple Intelligence which was set forth by Howard Gardner. It would help us access the 8 intelligences of the human brain: Linguistic,
Musical, Spatial, Logical, Kinesthetic, Interpersonal, Intrapersonal, Naturalist. This would be assessed by scanning and studying fingerprints.
On completion of the session, a panel discussion was held where relevant topics of importance were discussed in detail. Questions and queries bothering students were cleared out during this hour of the program.
The program concluded on a good note and refreshments were provided.
