Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth,s Institute of distance learning has added another feather in their cap on 8th October 2016 by arranging a one day Personal Contact Program by IIM faculties for their MBA students of distance learning. This Personal contact program has been conducted by IIM faculty Prof. Shirish Bagewadi and Prof. Chaitanya Kulkarni. This personal contact program has been attended by more than hundred and twenty students of distance learning.
In today’s world of globalization, the main assets of the organization are the skilled human resources, the organization which is able to retain the quality human resource those organizations can give competition to the market. As this Personal contact program was on Human Resource Management it was started with the presentation of beautiful HRM quotes of famous CEO’s and business leaders of the world from Mr. Narayan Murthy to Steve jobs, which has motivated students.
Prof.Shirish Bagewadi has initiated the program with the topic of training and development and gave various practical examples of industrial training. He told students that how industries are conducting their training programs. Prof. Bagewadi has given the better understanding of various modern training methods.
This session also covered the topics of career planning and its importance, modern training methods like CBT, NLP (Neuro-linguistic program), E-learning etc. Prof.Shirish Bagewadi covered the importance of performance appraisal and discussed live case studies. Students were delighted when Prof. Bagewadi has given the case study on performance appraisal of Indian cricket team. Students have designed the performance appraisal policy for the Indian cricket team.
Prof. Chaitanya Kulkarni a young dynamic professor has taken charge of the session and spokes about organizational change and organizational development. He told students that in order to survive in this competitive world, every organization has to implement change management program by altering products and making strategies for the organizations. The session was proved to be very inspiring and informative for the students.
